✂️ PnP Released! + 4 New Event Cards
It's been longer than we anticipated since our last update...whoops! 🙃
That's because we've been tirelessly slaving over a hot computer screen, meticulously polishing the rulebook. And now, it's complete. How complete, you ask? It's so complete that we can...
🦑 Release the PnP!
You know, like "release the Kraken"? Yeah, you get it.
The PnP is now available to everyone who backed the campaign. You can download the files via the Kickstarter update here.
🆕 New Event Cards Added to the Promo Pack
During the Kickstarter campaign, we advertised that the Promo pack would only include 4 new event cards. We were really eager to double that number to 8, but needed some time to balance the cards and ensure we had the extra Kickstarter funds to make it possible.
We're thrilled to announce that the Promo pack now comes with 8 event cards, which brings the total count of promo cards to 14!
Now that the game is finalized, which community events have made it into the game?
🃏 Community Event Cards
Do you recall our Campaign Event IV back in March? Of course you do! Backers were tasked with creating their own event cards to be included in the game.
Over the past few months, all event cards underwent a rigorous testing phase to ensure they positively contributed to the game. Even the events we initially conceived were discarded and reworked several times.
So, in the end, which community events made the cut? Here's the list along with their final wording:
Martin Biesheuvel - REDUX: Each player may gain any 2 tokens out of their 6 starting tokens.
Dad's Gaming Addiction - EQUALIZE: Move each trade marker 1 space towards the center. If a marker is already in the center, do not move it.
Dad's Gaming Addiction - STATE OF FLUX: Draw a second bonus points tile from the box and place it near the current bonus points tile. At the end of the game, players may choose which bonus points tile to score (but not both).
riverwolf13 - BUYOUT: Shuffle the unused company cards in the box and deal two to each player. Each player may choose to swap out their current company card with one of the new cards. Return the remaining cards to the box.
riverwolf13 - TRADE SECRETS: Shuffle the unused company cards in the box and place one in an area where everyone can see it. All players can use this company’s ability for this round as if it was their own.
A big shoutout goes to those of you who participated, even if your ideas didn't make the final cut. We thoroughly enjoyed reading through your entries, and many of them sparked other exciting ideas.
So, what's next?
The full sampling process has begun, and we're hopeful to have some photos ready for you by the time of the next update.
Until next time!
